About this deal

What makes this book special is the thoughtful manner of Moyes' characterizations and the believability of the situation. Kitty makes friends in the village and becomes a more normal teenager, and Thierry is befriended by the mysterious Byron, who has a dark secret that only Matt seems to know about. As it is a country book there is some animal hunting which, whilst it doesn't go into minute detail it did still make me uneasy to read it. It was a little difficult to get into in the beginning but once I was on track with the author, it flew by. I am not responsible for the republishing of the content found on this blog on other Web sites or media without my permission.

Al principio me sentí un poco perdida, porque no lograba relacionar la sinopsis con lo que estaba leyendo. I'd say this is a great beach read, but don't expect to be challenged by it or spend a lot of time thinking about it after.

Me Before You has now sold over fourteen million copies worldwide and was adapted into a major film starring Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke. Everything leading up to "the action parts" just drags and drags, the house demolition and Isabels inner misery. Matt was as irritating as Isabel, he was an entitled, deluded, self-obsessed, boring loser who never got any comeuppance for all the crap he pulled. It was beautiful to watch Isabel come into her own as a mother and start making sacrifices for her children.

My favourite character is undoubtedly Asad, an elderly gay man who truly finds himself and his hidden strength. She is a violinist whose entire world had consisted of music, she is a mother of two children, Kitty and Thierry, but is a hopeless mother who had left the childcare to others. I found myself almost pulling my hair out in frustration with her merely accepting his behaviour and thought their toxic marriage brought a sinister edge to the novel, something I’ve never seen before in a Jojo Moyes book.

A personagem principal, principalmente, não apresenta nenhum traço marcante de personalidade, que a torne inesquecível ou digna da mais tênue lembrança na memória do leitor. Full of family secrets and well crafted characters, I was drawn into the well woven, nicely paced plot and hope her other older titles are as good. I thought the premise had potential, but then I realized I have been here before with so many other stories like this, so, I immediately found myself bored. She lives, breathes and speaks music and is an accomplished professional violin player which sees her travelling round the world. The story has some ups and downs, personal growth, a little bit of sex, manipulation, lies, family secrets and problems just to name a few of the themes within the book.

As it is, it passes to his niece and children, Isabel, Kitty, and Thierry, struggling with the death of her husband and their new financial issues they move to the country and learn a new way of life.

Her books include the bestsellers The Girl You Left Behind, The One Plus One, Me Before You and After You and her short story collection Paris for One and Other Stories.
