About this deal

These choices all likely help the Cloud UP achieve its low claimed weight, but they also introduce compromise into the design. They might want to look at two-door two-vestibule options, Naturehike have a range such as Cloud-Peak 2, Star-River 2, and Mongar; and 3F UL with their Lanshan 2, Tipi, etc. Cope with changeable weather: Made of lightweight and wearable 20D nylon silicone material as well as waterproof coating and waterproof about 4000+, making it good enough to meet your rain-proof need while camping. I found the included footprint a bit bulky so bought a lighter-weight one, Tyvek would be ideal too. On the surface of it, the Naturehike Cloud UP present some very impressive specifications in terms of weight, packed size, material used and above all else cost.

Other people with their very lightweight tents had to keep their stuff outside the tent and were not able to sit up inside it. I think it’s important to note that part of the increased weight of the Cloud Up 2 is that it has that extra pole part which makes it a free-standing tent when compared to the Fly Creek…this also makes it more stable. If it doesn't fit, it breaks, you've changed your mind or for no reason whatsoever simply send it back to us and we'll cheerfully refund you every cent. Overall, the tent performed well, the instructions in the tent sleeve were well laid out so it made putting up the tent super easy, I imagine the next time I use it I could have this tent put up in less than 3-4 minutes. For those who simply don’t want to spend so much money on a tent – then the Cloud UP is a well worth it. I would love to have a new tent and sleeping bag because I've done wore mine out and don't have the money to replace them.

Storing a wet tent for as little as 24 hours in warm weather is likely to start the process of mildew formation. The one time I had to set up my tent in the rain, it was possible to set up the tent fly first and then set up the tent underneath it, to avoid the tent getting too wet, although this was difficult. When comparing the weights of these two tents, you’ve got to consider that the FlyCreek HV UL doesn’t come with a ground sheet (which you will need to use because of the thin floor). With sizes able to sleep from 1-2 campers, this versatile tent includes a floor, a footprint and a removable fly that provides optimal protection from wet weather and breathable walls to ensure ample airflow. The Cloud-up 20D/210T tent features an ultra-lightweight design with a total weight of 1540 G (footprint not included 240g) It offers a spacious room with a total floor area of 35. None of these are necessarily deal-breakers, provided you’re aware of them, but we can’t help but feel that if you can stretch to a higher budget there are better overall options out there.

Be aware – AliExpress said that the tent came with a “mat” and I assumed that meant a sleeping mat, but no, what it meant was it came with a “groundsheet” to put under the tent to protect the floor. I spend a lot of time looking at lightweight 3p tents and couldn’t find anything else that I liked and was affordable.

It works well enough but you end up with the drooping walls pretty close to your head while sleeping. This excellent tent accomodates 2 people, but will work equally well during solo trips leaving plenty of space for your gear. There is more to life than saving short-term bucks; we want to support companies that innovate and improve their products and stand behind them. However, other people (like in this forum) have tried out both of these tents and say that they are comparable in terms of quality and construction.
