About this deal

No matter how bad you think the shoot goes, this film performs on the job, and renders beautiful tones post dev/scanned. Since 1976, we have developed literally millions of rolls of film with experienced lab professionals and film enthusiasts. In that same tradition, the new PORTRA 400 Film is the ideal choice for portrait and fashion photography, as well as for nature, travel and outdoor photography, where the action is fast or the lighting can't be controlled. Our inventory includes a variety of 35mm and 120 films for purchase, as well as film development services. This film is sometimes thought of as boring as it renders colours, especially skin tones in a neutral and accurate way.

Kodak Portra 400 provides genuinely excellent film latitude, equal to, or better than that offered by Fuji’s Pro 400H line of films. Portra 400 is a professional film and does a great job of retaining the highlights (not just making parts of your photo pure white) and keeping information in the shadows (so it’s not just pure black). As a matter of fact, the tone that the Portra 400 delivers is probably one of my favorite features of the film. no other colour film gives you so much latitude (-2 to +3 stops) so you can shoot with confidence even under challenging lighting conditions. If it helps paint a better picture, the Portra 400 surely produces finer grain than its counterpart, the Ultramax 400 , which is a part of the company's line of Everyday Film. They mention that it's an excellent product, the pictures are sharp and beautiful, and the tones are great. The world's finest grain high-speed color negative film - delivers spectacular skin tones plus exceptional color saturation over a wide range of lighting conditions. According to Kodak Alaris, the Portra 400 is the world’s finest grain high-speed color negative film. Used this in a Pentacon Six (I can only dream of owning a Hasselblad or Bronnie) and the results were brilliant. Whether you're framing a portrait, exploring landscapes, or embarking on creative projects, this film promises to preserve your memories with enduring charm and elegance.

At true ISO 400 speed, this film delivers spectacular skin tones plus exceptional color saturation over a wide range of lighting conditions. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, cash, or other forms of electronic payment. If you shoot mid-day in full sun, the brightest parts of a scene and the darkest shadows have a massive contrast making for harsh light and unfavorable looks in my opinion. com has so accurately written, there is nothing in the resulting images that is overdone, yet nothing is bland either. By setting my light meter to 320 ISO it helps me stay more in the green box below, erring on the side of overexposure, which film can handle a lot better than being underexposed (see the left muddy size of the chart below). Overexposing by two stops makes your images bright and colourful while underexposing it a stop gives you a moody and contrasty look.
