How to even start… The poems were beautiful and if you read it from start to finish instead of just a random poem at a time it feels like a story… it perfectly shows the stages of love and heartbreak and how it changes with time… beautiful! The hurt in my heart at the memories they reminded me of, but also the strange peace that somebody else understands my pain. i do have my struggles with modern poetry books, because even if i enjoy some of the words from the bottom of my heart, a lot of them feel very unnecessary and like they have been put together for the sole purpose of creating a book with a certain number of pages. isabella's book was created to, in her own words, 'give people the comfort of knowing they are not alone in their emotions'.

I felt I connected greatly with many pieces of the work and I applaud her for having the courage to publish something so vulnerable.so, keep a box of tissues close, find a quite place to read and allow yourself to feel absolutely everything. But this has encouraged me…if this book can somehow make its way to actual publication, maybe mine will stand a chance. When Billy can’t find the informant, he wonders if Kate is secretly harboring her, since the two grew close during Kate's weeks undercover.

I bought this book after seeing the author pop up on my TikTok FYP a couple times reading some of her poems.
