About this deal

He gets a skill which makes people with evil disposition attracted to him whilst also getting a skill that makes him stronger the more danger he's in.

Majority of the novel is: MC combines this skill with that rare item under the full moon, so he can become the most powerful at the given situation despite his very weak stats. While he is supposedly a bug that can be squashed at a moment's notice power scaling wise, his unique attribute which makes him scale according to how much danger his life is in makes him that much of a menace, much similar to Isaac from Demon Limited Hunter. The tone of the story feels very well telegraphed and its been an enjoyable read, the stakes subtly elevate and keep me engaged, and the protagonist feels refreshingly frank and honest about their intentions and very intuitive with how the situation between them and the other characters are progressing and the romantic genre tropes of harem novels feel like they're being addressed by the nature of these being villains and the relationship between the MC and the interests .Jennie: For not much reason that I could figure, it’s then another 80 pages – a good 1/3 into the book – before Riaz and Adria give into their pounding lust for each other (lust we hear about at length throughout) and decide on a sort of friends-with-benefits arrangement. On Nalini Singh’s blog there is a GREAT comment in the spoiler section about Kaleb and the possible identity of his mysterious ‘her’. These developments felt rushed to me, given how long it took for SnowDancer and DarkRiver to gain each other’s trust and work together.

Also, I would agree her heroes tend to be alpha types but I think that the genius of her writing is that she’s able to create different varieties of the alpha type. If you’re eager to immerse yourself in this compelling tale of love and destiny, you can access “Fated to the Tangled Love” on moboreader through the link provided below. I also didn’t understand why, if SnowDancer and DarkRiver are now partnered, Lucas wasn’t involved in the meetings with the new groups seeking SnowDancer’s cooperation. Singh has chosen to portray celebration of emotion as preferable to suppression of emotion and that is an argument I can respect up to a point, because I do think that when we suppress our emotions, they often come out sideways in ugly ways. Lip service is given to the women being strong (particularly the dominant ones, though there’s condescending business in this book about how intimidating the “maternals” can be), but it’s just a sham.In that time she's read a lot of good romances, a few great ones, and, unfortunately, a whole lot of dreck. I feel like the whole series has increasingly been about championing romanticism over rationalism (I’m using these terms in a broad sense). But life has a way of weaving destinies together, and three years later, Charles finds himself facing a heartbreaking situation as his beloved woman battles a severe illness. Because Hawke’s decisions felt inconsistent, it made the alliances feel like contrived plot devices rather than natural developments, and that took away some of my enjoyment in that part of the story.
