About this deal

I did find this online but I have a very basic printer that wouldn't do double sided (to save on paper) and the colours in the book would use up a lot of ink. It was decided that Frances had learned her lesson and that she should not be punished further, but she knew it would be a long time before she'd be able to fly again. So the insects, being a friendly and helpful bunch, agreed long ago, that they would all work together and build a wonderful land where they could all live happily.

Urban Fantasy: The firefly kingdom is a fairy tale-like setting, but human matches play a role in the story, and the final scene shows Cocky Roach in a human town. Some have been given the gift of flight, some the gift of super strength, and others, the gift of beauty.Interesting thoughts from Graham in this article and I agree that it would be useful for the BSR to provide a template and or a marking criteria so the industry is working to the same approach which would certainly benefit the people at the BSR checking the safety case reports, they would also be able to assess more buildings in a shorter space of time and bring with it improvements in the industry much faster. Yey, i found you one in my old planning from pre school, will get it in the post to you as soon as i have your address, I love it when i can help a fellow childminder, I know how frustrating it is to want a resource and not be able to find it. The King only advised Frances to never play with matches instead of hoping Frances would realise how dangerous fire can be. On the whole, though, the short is cute and charming, like most British children's programming of the 80s and 90s; besides which, there is no mention of anyone being killed, which can greatly lower the scare factor.

Scare Factor: None, but it rises to Medium when the fire burns the kingdom, then drops to Low when the insects gather for an emergency meeting, as it reveals the fact that matches could destroy a large area or a home in a short amount of time, which can raise the scare factor. But she didn't notice the flame burning larger and larger until, just as she was above the center of the insect forest, it burned her wings. It can be used as part of a lesson by using the linked lesson plan and storyboard resources (all contained in the lesson bundle below), that will not only teach children about fire safety but develop their reading comprehension skills too. At the time of our story, Frances the firefly was only young and not yet able to make her tail glow brightly like the older fireflies.
